A ZVS Based Boost Resonant Converter for PV Applications

Abstract

As technology is progressing day by day, maximum of the people are attracted towards the machinery to do their work. The demand for the power is growing as consumption increases. So it is challenging to satisfy world energy requisite by using only non-renewable energy. We also need renewable energy like wind energy, solar energy to generate power. This paper will reflect the concept of power generation using solar panels as well as boosting the produced voltage to a higher value to encounter load demands with a simple circuit. Circuit simulation is done in MATLAB for both open loop and closed loop control. Also hardware model of 24W has been implemented for open loop control to demonstrate the operation of the circuit. The output waveform for voltage, current, power, efficiency and ZVS of two switches are presented for both open loop and closed loop control.
